Bib Cute Saying
I am selling Baby Shower Decorations!? I need some opinions please!?
I am trying to make some extra money and I have started making diaper cakes, washcloth/bib lollipops and washcloth candies. This was an idea for cute inexpensive shower decorations. Please tell me what you think or any suggetions you might have to improve the idea. I was already thinking that I want to use this ribbon I fond that says" Oh thank heaven for little boys/girls" instead of curling ribbon. Also I want to offer them in blue yellow and green too. I was thinking of charging 3.50 a piece for them. You think that is to much or to little? Thank you all from the bottom of my heart!!

I think that is adorable. It looks very professional and I love all the little details. You could easily charge $5 each.

Breastfeeding Nursing Top
Breastfeeding problems with 9 month old, refusing bottle, and decreased milk supply?
I breastfeed my daughter exclusively for 6 months. My supply was never overflowing, but she was always above average in weight. Toward the end of the 6 months I felt my body was not producing as much milk at night, so I was happy when we could supplement with solids at 6 months. She was a great mashed food eater for about 3 months, and then about 1 week ago started refusing most solid foods. She'll eat cheerios, but that is about it. Rather, she has reverted to wanting to nurse all the time. Problem is my milk supply has decreased substantially since I started her on solids.
I have tried to nurse her longer so that my milk supply will come up, but she gets so frustrated when the supply stops that she starts screaming, hitting, and kicking out of sheer frustration. On top of that, she is refusing a bottle and will only take a few sips from the sippy cup before refusing that too. Any advice on how to get the milk supply up again or why she is suddenly refusing solids?
((hugs)) mama. This can be very frustrating. Is she teething? Has she recently been sick? Have you tried not mashing her food? One of my kids stopped eating the mashed stuff in favor of things with more substance, so I started giving her soft cooked carrots and other veggies, lean tender cuts of chicken and beef and the like. Maybe some crackers?
As for building your supply back up, there are a few things you can try. Eat oatmeal if you like it. The real stuff, not the instant stuff. Drink Mother's Milk Tea, usually available at a health food store or some grocery stores (like Kroger, Whole Foods and maybe Walmart). Take fenugreek caps, also available at your health food store. Drink lots of water. Keep yourself hydrated. Here's a good link with other stuff too - http://www.kellymom.com/herbal/milksupply/herbal-rem_a.html

Spoon Fork Set
How do you coach a 20-month-old to use a spoon?
I bought him a spoon and fork set, nice and short and stout, but he uses the fork better and when using the spoon, he would always drip and/or fling the food and he would get really upset because no food would be on the spoon when he puts it in his mouth. So, we end up wasting a lot of good food and plus he runs the risk of not being full. Is there a way to help him and are there any specific types of food (how cooked) that he can practice on? He has 15 teeth, about 9 fully errupted and the rest half-way out. Thank you.
I'm sorry, but what are ditto beans? I'm sure I've never had them before...
lol... THAT's what it means... lol... I get it...
Try fairly thick foods -- oatmeal's great, ditto refried beans, very small pasta with a sticky cheese sauce, soup with the broth drained out and the veg smushed up a bit...
The bowls with the suction cup bottoms are good for helping kids learn to eat; easier to concentrate on using the spoon if you don't have to worry about your bowl skidding away.
Ignore (1) the wasted food, (2) the mess, (3) the fret of his not getting enough -- nothing wrong with a piece of toast a half hour after the meal if that's really the case, but give him lots of time with the spoon -- and just let him do it wholly on his own and he will get it.

eg "...oatmeal's great, also refried beans..."

Price Space Saver
to rent or own?
should i buy a house or rent a loft i am single and just want a place just for me i love the space of a loft pricier but i want the room but the apt would be more of a price saver but i dontthink investing in a home right now but i dont know i am completely new at this and would love to have mature opinions
thanx
i am trying to decide what to do so if i sound indecisive maybe it is because i am please no more answers that state the obvious In this economy should i rent or buy?
If you are going to be in your home for less than 5 years, go ahead and rent. Five years or more, you may want to go ahead and buy. Specially since it is a buyers market.
Ignore those that say it is always better to buy (and believe me those "always buy" zealots will come)--it isn't. Remember that with buying you also need homeowners insurance, maintenence costs, homeowners association costs, in addition to the mortgage. You need to add all of those costs together to see if you would be paying the same buying. Remember all that when people come telling you "for what you pay in rent you could pay a mortgage and build equity," when they are just comparing the mortgage with the rent. Also remind them that if you sell within a few years, you would have been practically renting anyways.

Baby Girl Burp
Baby burps like crazy!!!please help....?
So my 3.5 month old girl burps litterly around 15 times after almost every feeding...I never know when it enough...before her gas would come out the other end and we did not have that problem now she hardly has gass on the other end but burps alot. It takes about two hours at night to fall asleep only because of her burping. I used to give one drop of mylicon and we did not have this problem. Now we give .3 and were not sure if that is what causes the problem. I really need help. To much burping and waking up at night because of it...Oh and it takes her about 4 hours to get all her burps out...she is very hard to burp...
I agree w/ the previous poster, though if you want less gas in the bottles without the expense of the liners, get the vent-aires, they are easier and cheaper once purchased. Do you give her the mylicon directly or put it in the bottle? (If using a bottle) My daughter had bad gas issues, even on soy formula, and mylicon wouldn't work if we gave it to her directly, but putting a few drops in the bottle and you can watch the air disappear. Also, if her nose is clogged, get out the trusty bulb syringe and clean it out(though they are now making an automatic one, not sure I like the idea of putting a mini vacuum up my son's nose lol) so that she can let some air out of her nose while she feeds.
Is she on a milk based formula? Spitting up a lot? Maybe she could need a different one, if it's affecting her that much, you should definitely broach the subject w/ the pedi, maybe they have some sort of treatment that works wonders. Also, keep trying to burp her every 1/2 oz or so, this will help in the long run.
Good luck!
